Jock Irvine has spent decades anchoring rhythm sections across New England on both upright and electric bass. A veteran of the Air Force Band of New England, his versatile style and strong sight-reading skills span everything from big band swing and classic R&B to roots Americana and traditional jazz.

Jock is a founding member of the Tall Granite Big Band, an 18-piece big band, and anchors the rhythm section for the Scott Spradling Band, an 11-piece show band performing at premier festivals, non-profit fundraisers, and private events across the region. He also performs regularly with The Honey Bees Band and the State Street Combo, as well as numerous other ensembles.

 

Whether driving a full horn section or supporting an intimate acoustic set, Jock brings intuitive musicianship and reliable professionalism to every stage.
